You may find this hard to believe, but Mom used to say that she'd never, ever have a dog. My big brother
Barney changed all that. He captured her heart --- that's a Golden's job, you know --- and took her life in a
new direction. When I arrived, Barney welcomed me with open paws, and through the years, always made
room for another sister. He even helped watch over my babies when I became a mom. Barney loved
visitors, and always ended up on the couch with the families who came to see me and my puppies. One of
them wrote that Barney was the reason they decided on a Golden Retriever. He touched many lives with
his loving personality, big brown eyes, and handsome face. |
